Review by hotel critic
Nestled in a vibrant green setting, Paraiso Encantado stands as a refreshing getaway with a compelling balance of luxury and value. My recent two-night stay revealed a beautifully decorated room that provided comfort and access to a shared terrace—a perfect space to enjoy morning coffee while admiring the rainforest views. The on-site restaurant impressed with its fresh tortillas and local dishes, making it a worthwhile option to dine without venturing far. For those with a penchant for nature, Las Pozas and the nearby sculpture garden are within walking distance, allowing for exploration of the area’s unique art and waterfalls. While I found the pool too cold for a dip, the tranquil sounds of birds throughout the property were oddly soothing—though perhaps not for those hoping to sleep in without earplugs. The attentive staff, including Don Mario, were helpful, even accommodating my request to store fresh groceries in their kitchen fridge. Value-wise, Paraiso Encantado delivers a solid experience, providing amenities such as air conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, and laundry services. For travelers seeking serene comfort while immersing in the lush surroundings of the jungle, this hotel is certainly a worthy choice.
